Climate and Corporate Responsibility
The effect of climate change is being felt globally on a daily basis. Companies are faced with having to understand climate risk on the business, and transition risks associated with the changes from business-as-usual that we are all having to make.
Reducing carbon emissions is the single most important response a company can make, and the requirement to measure and report carbon emissions is now widespread across many jurisdictions. And stakeholders expect to see a rigorous corporate sustainability strategy by which transition risks are managed and carbon reduction targets achieved.
Measure, Map and Manage
Klere provides a comprehensive carbon emissions measurement service. Calculating the company’s baseline and building a sustainability strategy captures the risks, from which we map carbon reduction targets, and set wider ESG KPIs. We do this using established standards provided by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the UK Government, and the methodologies of the GRI principles.
A 2050 Net-Zero strategy is many-faceted and requires analysis of the entire value chain.

Sustainable Investment and Nature Based Solutions
Klere sponsors and invests in businesses which drive environmental benefits. Our first investment is Delivering London Ltd, which is rolling out convenient local parcel delivery lockers across the capital to enable multiple deliveries at a single van drop-point, dramatically reducing van-miles, congestion, and pollution.
We also promote environmental projects that drive biodiversity, conservation, and carbon sequestration, and are testing our own trading marketplace for projects and biodiversity credits which aims to bring improved visibility and liquidity to the voluntary carbon and biodiversity markets.
