Carbon & Nature Data Included

Klere’s Carbon metric cuts through the complexity in one clear platform

Klere provides carbon footprint data alongside nature impact analysis for complex supply chains and hard-to-collect datasets. We help organisations establish disclosure-ready carbon data. Whether you are a small or medium-sized business or a large multi-group organisation, we can handle your datasets and price to fit the job.

Our methodology reduces the need for time-intensive data gathering such as meter readings, mileage logs and lengthy supplier questionnaires. Using standard company expense data, we make carbon reporting clear, transparent and scalable. The approach aligns with GHG Protocol principles and is already trusted by leading UK organisations.

Where activity-based data is available for Scope 1, 2 and 3, we can integrate it with our expense-based approach to improve accuracy and depth. AI-enabled, our system can process very large datasets, including hundreds of thousands of supply items, going well beyond the practical limits of manual activity-based analysis.

All carbon and nature results are brought together in one clear platform.

Simple three step process:

How do we do it?

Our platform uses peer-reviewed, industry accepted methodologies ENCORE and Exiobase and our own proprietary metric based on DEFRA Biodiversity Unit equivalents. Where activity based data for Scope 1, 2 and 3 is available, we can integrate the two approaches. By combining these measures we reveal biodiversity costs, nature impacts, risks and dependencies as well as carbon. Get in touch to discuss our methodology in-depth.

Client Case Study

In 2024, a UK leading property claims management organisation, MA Group, collaborated with Klere to measure their carbon footprint across operations and supply chain activities. Using advanced spend-based analysis, Klere transformed complex data into practical insights aligned with global standards.

Key Insights

  • Central Operations: Emissions were primarily Scope 3, driven by vehicle fuel, electricity, and IT support.

  • Supply Chain: Significant emissions came from decorating, building works, and waste, which had the highest carbon intensity.

  • Intensity Ratios: Emissions per revenue and employee highlighted key efficiency opportunities.

Challenges Addressed

Klere processed large, complex datasets, streamlining information into actionable categories.

Results

  • Priorities identified for reduction.

  • Delivered clear, visual insights via Carbon Dashboard for annual report.
